Dog Daycare Veterinary Assistant/Tech
Tired of only seeing animals on their worst days? Come work where dogs are healthy, happy, and having a blast! Four-Legged Fun Zone is looking for a veterinary assistant or tech who wants to use their skills in a fun, low-stress, and supportive environment—where every day is a good day (tail wags guaranteed).
About Us: Four-Legged Fun Zone is Everett’s newest dog daycare, built with a heart for pups who need extra TLC—whether they’re shy, sensitive, or just need a smaller group to thrive. As a division of Tailored Pet Services LLC, we bring 14 years of trusted care to a brand-new space designed for calm, enrichment, and connection.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and supervise daycare playgroups to ensure safe, enriching, and positive social interactions
- Perform daily wellness checks and monitor dogs for signs of stress, illness, or injury
- Support shy dogs as they slowly build confidence and transition into group play
- Treat minor scrapes or playtime scratches with gentle, informed care
- Communicate with pet parents about their dog’s day—celebrating wins and offering peace of mind
You're a Great Fit If You:
- Have 1+ year of hands-on experience working as part of a team in a veterinary clinic, animal hospital, shelter, or dog daycare—paid or volunteer. (Personal pet care or solo pet-sitting does not count.)
- At least one prior job where you stayed for 12+ months (this shows us you’re ready for a long-term role on our team)
- Want to step out of the high-stress clinical world and into a feel-good environment
- Are confident leading small groups of dogs and reading canine body language
- Love helping nervous or shy dogs come out of their shells
- Are 18+ years old and able to meet the physical/mental requirements listed here: https://tpsmcwa.com/Physical-Mental-Tasks
Pay & Perks:
- Pay: $18–$20/hour, depending on experience
- Performance-based bonuses, commissions, and raises
- Paid sick leave and mental health days
- Employee discounts on grooming, training, and vacation care services
- A supportive, fun environment where dogs come to thrive—not to heal
Why You'll Love It Here:
- You’ll get to see dogs on their best days, not their worst
- No emergency calls, stressed-out clients, or heartbreaking outcomes
- You’ll be part of a close-knit, upbeat team that shares your love for animals
- You’ll use your vet experience in new ways—combining play, behavior, and wellness
