Dog Grooming Salon Manager
If you’re tired of the high-volume “assembly line” grooming model and are ready to run a department where the animal’s well-being actually comes first, this is your opportunity.
We are looking for a Grooming Salon Manager to take the reins of our grooming division and treat it as their own. You’ll be the voice of the salon—overseeing the client experience from the first interaction to the final hand-off and ensuring our one-on-one care standards never waver.
Because we want you to have a real stake in what you build, this role includes profit sharing—giving you a direct financial reward for the growth and success of the division.
What This Role Actually Looks Like
You’ll start as a hands-on groomer, maintaining a consistent schedule and setting the standard for how grooming is done here.
As the department grows, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Shape pricing, structure, and client experience
- Influence hiring decisions
- Bring on and mentor another groomer over time
👉 The goal is to build something—and not do the grooms forever unless you choose to.
Why Groomers Leave High-Volume Salons for This Setup
- 3-Day Lifestyle: Work Wednesday–Friday (8:00 AM – 6:30 PM). Your weekends are yours. Your Mondays and Tuesdays are yours.
- Zero Drama Environment: One dog at a time. No double-booking. No “squeezing in” last-minute grooms that blow your evening plans.
- Focus on Quality: Our reception team handles incoming calls and scheduling while you’re grooming, so you can stay focused—while still owning the client relationship and follow-up outside of grooming time.
- Total Control of Your Space: Private grooming suite where you control temperature, music, and flow.
What This Means for You = $65–$70/hour
Based on base pay, commission, and 100% tips.
Daily Earning Potential
- Base Pay ($25/hour) → $250
- Commission* (25%) → ~$255
- Tips (15–20% of gross sales) → $150–$200
- Total Daily Earnings → $650–$700+
Additional Earnings
(1) Referral Bonus: Earn an extra 5% commission on clients you bring in
(2) Performance Bonus (Weekly – Based On Department Revenue)
- $4,000 → +$150
- $5,000 → +$300
- $6,000 → +$500
(3) Profit sharing added as the department grows
Built-In Demand (Income Stability)
You’re not starting from zero or relying on walk-ins. We have a steady flow of grooming-ready dogs from our Daycare, Vacation Care, and Dog Walking services—so your schedule doesn’t depend on you “figuring it out” from scratch.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional grooming experience. You must be able to complete high-quality, full grooms independently while maintaining our “humanity over vanity” standards.
- Proven track record of building a book. You’ve either grown a client base from scratch or significantly increased rebooking and repeat clients in a previous role—not just worked off a schedule handed to you.
- Own the client relationship. You are responsible for the experience—not just the groom. This includes setting expectations, communicating honestly about coat condition and outcomes, and building long-term trust so clients return consistently.
- Physical & Technical Versatility. Comfortable grooming large and giant breeds (60–150 lbs) and managing the physical demands of a busy department.
- Reliability & Proximity. A consistent work history is vital. You should have a commute within 30 miles of 6628 Evergreen Way.
This role is not for someone looking to simply complete assigned grooms—it’s for someone who wants to take ownership of a growing part of the business and share directly in the success they help create through profit sharing.
