Full-Time Dog Walker – Monday–Friday 9AM–6PM

Everett, WA
Full Time
Entry Level

Let’s talk about cake for a moment.

Working with dogs is the frosting—the part everyone gets excited about, but it's only a small part of the job.

The cake is the core of the job: structure, reliability, and physical work that keep everything running. It’s a more substantial kind of sweetness—different from the frosting, but deeply rewarding.

The cake looks like this:

  • Starting your route on time every day — dogs can’t reschedule their walks
  • Driving between client homes — your car is your office
  • Walking 10–15 miles a day — in all weather conditions
  • Showing up consistently — even when the weather is miserable
  • Working independently — no one is looking over your shoulder during the day
  • Being accountable to human clients first — their homes, schedules, and expectations come first

That’s the cake—about 95% of the job: walking in the rain, picking up poop, getting splashed while drying off, driving on snowy roads. The frosting is cuddling the dog after everything else is done—about 5%.

What the day looks like

  • 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM: Dog walking route visiting client homes
  • 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Unpaid lunch break
  • 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Light facility support at our daycare (monitoring, cleaning, and maintaining a calm environment)

Requirements

  • Live within a reasonable commuting distance of 6628 Evergreen Way, Everett, WA
  • Reliable, insured vehicle and ability to drive between client homes in all weather conditions
  • Available Monday–Friday from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • At least 12 consecutive months at one job within the past 3 years (since 2023)
  • Physically able to walk up to 15 miles per day on uneven terrain, including hills
  • Able to stand or walk for 6–8 hours per shift
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, clean, and remain active throughout the day
  • Comfortable working outdoors in rain, snow, or heat

Apply if this sounds like you

  • You take reliability seriously — when someone is counting on you, you show up
  • You’re comfortable working independently and staying on schedule without supervision
  • You understand this is a responsibility-first role, not a “hang out with dogs” job
