Service Associate – Fast-Paced Barista/Restaurant Server Type Role

Everett, WA
Full Time
Entry Level

If you’ve worked as a barista or restaurant server, you already know the feeling—multiple people needing things at once, things changing quickly, and staying on top of everything without letting anything slip.

This role has that same fast-paced, high-energy environment—but instead of food and drinks, you’re managing client inquiries, following up, and keeping everything moving throughout the day.

You’ll be on your feet most of the day—bringing dogs to and from the back, greeting clients as they arrive, seating grooming clients in the lounge, and giving tours of the facility. There’s always something happening, and you’re a key part of keeping everything flowing smoothly.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

This is NOT a front desk or receptionist role. You are responsible for responding to inquiries, following up, and making sure potential clients don’t fall through the cracks. You stay on top of things during your shift so nothing gets missed or forgotten.

You don’t need pet care experience—we can teach that. What matters is how you operate in a fast-moving environment like the examples below:

  • Barista pace: you’re in a rush—orders stacking up, people waiting, someone asking a question, dodging a spill, and noticing something needs attention—all at the same time.
  • Lifeguard awareness: you’re scanning everything at once and moving immediately when something needs attention—before anyone else even realizes there’s a problem.

You don’t ignore things and come back later—you handle them in the moment.

COMPENSATION

Effort and consistency are directly rewarded in this role. The more consistently you follow up, stay organized, and execute, the more you earn.

Most team members earn the equivalent of $25–$30 per hour when they meet simple daily benchmarks. Team members with strong judgment around photo and video capture—choosing moments that reassure and connect clients—often earn toward the higher end of that range.
