Off-Leash Dog Group Handler

Everett, WA
Full Time
Entry Level

Have you professionally supervised or co-supervised at least 40 off-leash groups of 8 or more dogs within the past three months, where each group lasted at least 60 continuous minutes and supervising the dogs was one of your primary responsibilities?

Professional supervision includes actively monitoring canine body language, managing group interactions, redirecting inappropriate behavior, and making real-time safety decisions. Time spent cleaning, feeding, walking individual dogs, or observing another handler does not count toward this requirement.

If so, we'd love to hear from you.

Four-Legged Fun Zone is looking for Off-Leash Dog Group Handlers who have already built a strong foundation supervising groups of dogs in a professional setting and are ready for the next step. If you're comfortable reading canine body language, managing group dynamics, and making real-time safety decisions, we'll teach you the Four-Legged Fun Zone system and help you quickly progress to independently leading your own group of 10–15 dogs.

Why Experienced Dog Handlers Choose Four-Legged Fun Zone

  1. Lead—Don't Just Watch Dogs: You'll independently lead structured groups of 10–15 dogs—not stand in overcrowded groups of 30+ hoping nothing goes wrong.
  2. Predictable Monday–Friday Schedule: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Reliable hours. No weekends. No on-call shifts. No last-minute schedule changes.
  3. Professional Development: You'll spend your first few days learning the Four-Legged Fun Zone handling system before progressing to leading your own small group. Successful handlers who demonstrate the required skills quickly advance to our standard group size of 10–15 dogs.
  4. Consistent Groups: Dogs attend on regular schedules and complete a structured introduction process before joining established groups.
  5. A Real Break: Step away from the dogs and recharge in a dedicated break area during lunch.

Compensation

Base Pay: $20/hour during training

Daily Group Bonus:

$2.50 per dog/day (12–13 dogs)
$5.00 per dog/day (14–15 dogs)

Typical Earnings: $23–$29/hour

Required Experience (Must Meet ALL Requirements)

  1. Professionally supervised or co-supervised at least 40 off-leash groups of 8 or more dogs within the past three months, where each group lasted at least 60 continuous minutes and supervising the dogs was one of your primary responsibilities.
  2. Held at least one paid animal-care position for 12 consecutive months or longer within the past three years.
  3. Live within 30 minutes of our Everett facility.
  4. Able to stand and walk throughout the shift while confidently handling dogs weighing up to 150 pounds.
